Joseph Jean Baptiste Laurent Arban was the first cornet virtuoso in history and his method book is widely considered the "Trumpeter's Bible". He was a prolific composer of cornet solos, his most famous being "The Carnival of Venice". This is a recording of Jimmy playing an arrangement of  "The Carnival of Venice" with the Cities Service Band of America and taken from the LP "A Sunday Band Concert".
